Craig Nordlund's experience in corporate law spans more than three decades, beginning with his first job as an attorney with the Palo Alto law firm of Ware & Freidenrich (now DLA Piper) in 1974, and later as in-house counsel with Hewlett-Packard Company in 1977.. From 1987 to 1999, Nordlund managed Hewlett-Packard's U.S. general legal operations and served as HP’s corporate secretary from 1985-1999. He was named Agilent Technologies' senior vice president, general counsel and secretary in May 1999 and served in that role until October, 2009 Craig received a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University and a law degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. He served on the national board of both organizations and was national chairman of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals from 1999-2000. He also was co-chairman of the board of directors of the Council of Institutional Investors from 2007-2009 and served on that board from 2005-2009. Craig is a member of the Association of General Counsel and served as that organization’s president from 2006-2007. He currently serves on the board of the Silicon Valley FACES and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Muskingum University.
