Joann has been the firm’s Managing Partner since 2013.  Joann regularly appears in State and Federal courts throughout New York and New Jersey, representing creditors, defendants and bankruptcy trustees in chapter 11 cases, cross-border proceedings and all types of bankruptcy litigation, including fraud-based actions, claim disputes and non-dischargeability actions and has acted as a discovery master in bankruptcy court.  She represents lenders in the automotive, trucking and equipment industries in complex commercial litigation and counsels clients in commercial loan transactions and all phases of workout and debt restructuring matters.  Joann is a member of the United States District Court NDNY and the United States Bankruptcy Court NDNY mediation panels and has served as a mediator for both courts.. Joann is the current president (2016-2018) of The Legal Project's Board of Directors. Kerry graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA in 1986 and received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1990. He served a judicial clerkship with the U.S.Bankruptcy Court in Dallas from 1990 to 1992, and practiced law with and was a director of Hill Gillstrap in Arlington from 1992 to 2001. In 2001, Kerry and his family came home to Amarillo, and he became Corporate General Counsel for several family-owned businesses including AMATechTel, Attebury Grain, and Rockrose Development. Kerry returned to private practice in 2007. He is a member of the Amarillo Bar Association and State Bar of Texas, and continually receives an Excellent Peer Review Rating. Kerry has served on several boards, including the Texas Panhandle Builders Association, Meals On Wheels, Amarillo Flames Athletic Association, and Lone Star Ballet Board of Directors.  Kerry is involved in his children’s sports activities and is active in his church.
