Brien grew up in Sandy, Utah and attended Brigham Young University where he received his bachelor’s degree. He moved south to attend law school at the University of Arizona on a full-tuition scholarship before returning home to the Salt Lake Valley.. Brien is a husband and father. His wife (Emma) and three sons (Will, Luke, and Adam) are the most important and meaningful part of his life.
