I graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Political Science.  Go Cougs.  Afterward, I served three years in the Peace Corps in the Republic of Georgia.  I also spent a year in South Korea teaching English.  Upon my return, I chose Seattle University School of Law for its commitment to community service.  I currently edit "The Wheel" newsletter for my local Rotary Club and serve on the board.

Brooke focuses her practice on a wide range of business, tax, nonprofit, and intellectual property issues, and enjoys working with clients to make even the most complicated legal concepts understandable and accessible. She regularly represents clients forming new business entities and nonprofits, seeking trademark and copyright registrations, or looking to structure their operations (or transactions) to minimize both state and federal taxes.. My practice includes assisting companies of all sizes, in all business and tax matters. This includes advising closely held businesses to establish new business entities, advising on regulatory and tax matters, succession planning, and tax efficient planning for purchases or sales of existing businesses.In my practice, I also routinely provide tax consulting services to clients with international operations. Clients include both U.S. based companies that have expanded abroad and foreign companies with U.S. ties. This also includes consulting with with U.S. based exporting companies to determine whether they qualify for interest charge domestic international sales corporations ("IC-DISC") export tax incentive benefits, and assisting in both implementation and maintenance of IC-DISC structures.. I am also an adjunct professor at the University of Washington School of Law, teaching classes in the masters in tax program.
