Scott Ray assists clients with trademark and other intellectual property matters.  He also practices a wide range of other business law related areas, such as anti-trust law and the formation of business organizations.  He has gained significant experience in litigation and negotiation through his work as a public defender.  Mr. Scott Ray has proved to be a successful litigator, winning most of his jury trials as a public defender.  His education has focused on business.  He completed the business track at the University of Tennessee College of Law, and majored in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance at Brigham Young University.

I am a trial lawyer in the firm's litigation and intellectual property sections.  My practice is focused on intellectual property litigation, business litigation, products liability and insurance defense.  As lead trial counsel and as a part of CB&S's litigation team, I have litigated a number of trademark, copyright, patent, product liability, and business litigation cases in courts throughout the United States.. I volunteer my time as a pro bono attorney, including through Legal Aid of East Tennessee.
