Before becoming a lawyer, I served for 12 years in the United States Navy as a nuclear Submarine Officer.  I used the GI Bill to go to law school.. I practiced in firms in Chicago, mainly assisting clients obtain and perfect their patent rights.  During the COVID pandemic, I shifted to a solo-practice to work on my personal Intellectual Property clients and take over for my retiring father-in-laws Real Estate and Estate Planning clients.
