Before this, Aaron served as the County Attorney for the Box Butte County Attorney’s Office in Alliance, Nebraska and then moved on to serve as a Deputy County Attorney for the Washington County Attorney’s Office in Blair, Nebraska. In these roles, his duties included managing criminal cases from initial charging to resolution of the case and negotiating with defense attorneys regarding cases that may end in a plea deal. With the Washington County Attorney’s office, he was also tasked with handling all juvenile cases, including truancies, juveniles out of control (3B cases), and neglected and abused juveniles (3A cases), and was primarily responsible for all class IV felonies in District Court. In his role with the Box Butte County Attorney’s office, he worked to arrange mental health board hearings for individuals who represented an imminent danger to themselves or others and had been placed under Emergency Protective Custody..
