Christopher A. Mr. Nelson earned his B.S. from Illinois State University and his J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and is a member of the Peoria County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.Mr. Nelson has a dedicated history of public service. He served with distinction for six years in the United States Air Force and the Illinois Air National Guard. Following his military career, in law school, he was the Vice President of the Public Interest Law Society (PILS) at Northern Illinois University, and a Semi-Finalist in the Mock Trial Competition.

I was born and raised in Terrebonne Parish.  I attended LSU  for undergraduate studies and received a degree in psychology.  I then attended Loyola School of Law in New Orleans and graduatedd in 1990.  I practiced in New Orleans for approximately 10 years an then moved back to Houma, where I currrently practice.

Mr. Stanford is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist and he has been practicing law since 1993. The majority of his practice is in the area of divorce and family law and he is experienced in all matters pertaining thereto, at both the trial and appellate court level. In addition, Mr. Stanford also maintains a general litigation practice as well. He has, and continues to represent, clients in matters involving liquidations, contract disputes, employment disputes, oilfield litigation, contractor and construction disputes, redhibition and warranty disputes, successions and various damage claims, both on the plaintiffs' and defendants' sides. Mr. Stanford has extensive litigation experience.
