JULIE A. PARKER. Born in Washington, D.C., Julie was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland by her parents, a teacher and a federal government worker. She attended Wake Forest University earning her B.A. in 1983 and J.D. in 1987.. Julie worked in the insurance industry and as a paralegal until being licensed to practice law in North Carolina where she has handled Family Law, Juvenile, Criminal, Wills, Mediation, and Special Proceedings, as well as other matters for over 30 years.  During that time, she has represented thousands of indviduals and families. Julie is an active member and Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Mocksville, serving in Vacation Bible School and Christian Education. She serves on several community boards, including the Davie County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and the Davie Advocacy Center. Julie is also a member of the Old Rowan Fiber Guild and an avid knitter. Together with her husband, Michael, she has raised two children in the Davie County Public Schools and was a proud band and basketball mom.

I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I am married and have 2 beautiful children who always keep me on my toes.  I graduated from Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College in 2003 and practiced law in New York for over 14 years, 12 of which concentrated in Family Law.  I moved to North Carolina in January 2018 in search of a better quality of life for my family.  I am currently working as a paralegal while awaiting admission to the North Carolina Bar.  While practicing family law in New York, I represented clients with issues involving divorce and/or separation, domestic partnerships, custody, support, domestic violence, paternity, and many other family situations.   My extensive experience allows me to bring a unique perspective to each case that I work on.. Family law clients are often faced with a variety of emotional situations. I offer a calm, helpful and supportive demeanor as I handle your immediate needs, while patiently explaining the law and procedures. While our clients experience open and frequent communication with their attorney, I am an additional liaison between the clients and our firm.
