I graduated from Gonzaga Law School in the State of Washington and moved upon graduation to the State of Nevada and have practiced in the State of Nevada in both Federal and State Courts. I am also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to practice law.. I grew up in a large NAVY family.  My father flew out of Tampa's MacDill Air Force Base in the sixties and I fell in love with the Tampa Bay community.  After law school at our nation's first law school, William and Mary, I came back to Florida to pursue my legal career with a passion for helping out individuals and families.  I really enjoy the waterfront lifestyle here.  I am a marathon swimmer and live aboard a 48 foot yacht in a marina at Clearwater Beach, Florida.. I obtained my Bachelor's degree with honors from Florida State University before going on to law school.  I also graduated with honors from Stetson University College of Law.  Upon graduating law school, I received the Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award given to the law school's top trial litigator.. During law school, I worked for the civil litigation firm of Thompson, Goodis & Thompson and as a Judicial Clerk for the 6th Judicial Circuit.  Soon after graduating law school, I gained valuable criminal trial law experience as a State Prosecutor for Orange and Osceola Counties in Florida.. I left the State Attorney's Office in 2002 to pursue a career in criminal defense and personal injury with the goal of helping individuals and their families.  I personally handle every client's case and do not push it off to another attorney.. I have tried a wide range of cases and spent many hours in both State and  Federal courtrooms fighting for my clients.. I am admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of Florida.  In addition to my private clients, I am occasionally appointed by the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida to represent individuals charged with federal crimes..
