Jeff began his law career in 2003 representing community associations at Wegner and Associates, which later became Wegner Vollmer PC and then part of Makower Abbate Guerra Wegner Vollmer PLLC. Known for finding ways to make the law easy to understand when it comes to real life, day-to-day situations, as well as his thoughtful, individualized approach to serving clients, he’s also always up for a good laugh now and then. He enjoys spending time with his family and Harlow, a mini-goldendoodle, tennis, running and watching the English Premier League.

Before joining the firm in 2015, Evan spent over a decade working in community association law in a non-attorney capacity, gaining a deep understanding of the field from the ground up. Since becoming an attorney, he has concentrated his practice on document revisions and restatements, condominium establishment, collections, restriction enforcement, contract drafting and review, and FHA/VA certifications.. Evan is known for his thoughtful, client-focused approach, always striving to ensure that every voice is heard and that resolutions are both effective and fair. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, and staying active in recreational softball and bowling leagues.

EXPERIENCE. Mr. Funk has represented a wide variety of clients across Nevada.  Mr. Funk’s primary clientele includes high net worth individuals and closely held businesses on a local, regional, and national level.  During his time with Gunderson Law Firm, Mr. Funk has represented businesses owners, debtors, creditors, guarantors, secured parties, landlords, tenants, contractors, real estate brokers and agents, homeowners, and many others.  Mr. Funk has appeared before state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.  Mr. Funk has tried non-jury commercial litigation matters as lead counsel, in addition to serving as co-counsel in other trials and dispute resolution proceedings.. Prior to joining Gunderson Law Firm, he earned his Juris Doctorate Magna Cum Laude at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas  where he was on academic scholarship throughout his education.  While in law school, Mr. Funk earned the top grade in Trial Advocacy, Sales and Leases, Advanced Legal Analysis and Writing, and Secured Transactions.  Mr. Funk also interned for Honorable Judge Patrick Flanagan at Washoe County District Court and served as a summer law clerk for the Gunderson Law Firm.. PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. Mr. Funk is a board member for the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation.  The Foundation is a non-profit seeking to promote and develop the game of lacrosse as an integral part of the education process making it equally available to both boys and girls.  Mr. Funk is also the head coach of Reno High School’s boys lacrosse program serving not only as a coach at his Alma Mater, but also as a mentor to the players.  He is an active player and member of the Reno/Tahoe men’s club lacrosse team—the Tahoe Dawgs.
