Born in Lexington, Ky and raised just north in Georgetown, Ky, I am a country girl who always wanted to be in a big city. This led me to Northern Kentucky University for my undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Pre-Law. Actively involved at NKU, I continued there to earn my law degree. While at Chase College of Law I was selected to be on the Trial Advocacy Team where I spent two years preparing for and putting on mock trials. This experience was invaluable to me and provided me the skill and drive necessary to win cases in court. After law school I spent years at a medium-sized firm furthering my skills and knowledge. In October of 2022 I made the decision to go out on my own and open up my own law firm.. Although I have practiced in many areas, I chose to focus my work on mainly family and criminal law, in addition to providing Wills and other estate planning documents. I chose to focus in these areas because my drive to become an attorney has always stemmed from empowering people. To me, empowerment means not only personal empowerment, but using my skills, devoting my career to, and gaining the knowledge and ability to help others empower themselves. In criminal law, per our constitution, a defendant is innocent until proven guilty, however that is often forgotten. In family law, false accusations are consistently made by a party trying to gain an advantage. In both instances, you need an attorney that keeps the truth at the forefront and ensures that the Judge or Jury hear that truth. It takes a strong and determined attorney to fight against false accusations. I became an attorney to protect people from harm whether that is physical, mental, and emotional harm or harmful false allegations. I truly love practicing law. It is what I was built for - to empower clients in their legal battles.
