My name is Action A. Lavitch, (yes, that is my real name). I founded Action Defense Law, because I staunchly believe that the presumption of innocence is the most sacred principle of our criminal justice system. For that reason, and because of my passion for helping people, I’ve spent my career defending countless individuals charged with the full gamut of crimes, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.. As a native of Los Angeles, I attended college and law school locally, and spent the first part of my career working as a Trial Attorney with the Los Angeles Public Defenders Office. In recent years, I have dedicated my practice exclusively to providing criminal defense advocacy for the accused, helping them navigate through the complex criminal justice system. My seasoned trial skills stem from countless days spent in court, defending individuals charged with DUI, Drug Crimes, Theft, Weapons/Firearms, Gang Crimes, and Domestic Violence, among other criminal charges.. A major pillar of my success is rooted in the idea that no two cases are the same. My unyielding passion for justice drives me to design and execute creative defense strategies based on the unique circumstances of each case – there is no “one size fits all” approach. Likewise, my empathy, and compassion for those facing criminal charges is limitless. The attorney-client relationship is one that is based on trust and reliance and some of my greatest accomplishments have been the comradeships I have forged with my clients and fellow officers of the Courts in Los Angeles.

A little more about me.... Criminal law is my passion. It was my passion long before law school. I obviously picked the right career, right?  Even when I am not working, I still find myself watching true crime shows or reading true crime stories.  My favorite show of all time is "Forensic Files," and I have watched all 14 seasons... twice.  I also love "Death Row Stories."

Victoria Denalee Vertner is a seasoned attorney with over a decade of experience, specializing in criminal law. A graduate of Santa Clara University Law School, she was raised in the Bay Area by a family of criminal defense lawyers who imparted a strong sense of justice and analytical her career, Ms. Vertner has successfully represented clients across multiple California counties in a diverse array of criminal cases, ranging from DUI and domestic violence to more severe offenses like attempted murder. She has demonstrated skill in crafting effective legal motions, including those aimed at suppressing from criminal law, Ms. Vertner is adept in family law, dependency cases, and select civil litigation.
