I am originally from Sanford, Maine and graduated from Sanford High School. I left Maine to attend Norwich University, The Military College of Vermont, where I spent four years as a member of the Corps of Cadets and trained with the school's NROTC detachment before graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Afterwards, I returned to Maine and worked for a year as a Juvenile Program Worker at Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland before entering the University of Maine School of Law in 2015. While attending law school, I worked as a Student Attorney interning for the Kennebec County District Attorney's Office in Augusta as well as for the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic in Portland, where I represented clients in both criminal defense and family matters. I graduated from UMaine Law in May of 2018 and was admitted to the Bar in Maine in October of 2018. Since then, I have been proud to work in my beloved home state representing clients in courts ranging from Portland to Rockland. I really believe that I am privileged to work as an attorney in the State of Maine and help people with problems that matter. There is nothing I find more exciting or fulfilling.

My name is Jason Heston Van Horn and I am an attorney licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota. I specialize in criminal defense, with a focus on DUI/DWI and drug related cases.. It is my goal to leave evey client satisfied knowing I explored every avenue of defense. I firmly believe that laws are not in place simply to police the public, but rather to ensure a just and equal enforcement of the law for the common citizen as well as law enforcement.. Beyond a passion for pursuing justice, I strive to ensure each and every client is provided thoughtful and prompt communication. I understand that any legal battle brings immense anxiety and stress. The most important aspect of my job is to bridge the gap between the courts and my clients to ensure that nothing passes a client by.
