Rebecca A. Waxse is originally from Kansas City but moved to Minnesota for law school and has made Minnesota her home. She graduated from Hamline Law School in 2006 where she was the Articles Editor of the Journal of Public Law and Policy. Since graduation from law school she has worked in the areas of criminal law, family law, and juvenile law. She is passionate about the practice law and working hard to protect her client’s rights.

I came to the law after spending over 26 years in the transportation industry working for a major airline. I was drawn to representing my colleagues in disputes and thrived in an environment where I had the opportunity to stand up for those that had less ability to advocate for themselves. You could say, I enjoyed standing up for “the little guy.” Quickly I discovered a passion for helping people navigate complicated areas while producing extraordinary results that benefited individuals financially and promoted long term security. My desire to apply my skill set to helping others found a new and broader avenue in the realm of the legal system.After deciding to make a career transition, I devoted my time and energy to learning the law with the same tenacity I approached my previous advocacy with. I dedicated much of my time in law school modifying and developing a practice idea that focused on rural Minnesota and meeting the justice gap that is all too prevalent. Having graduated magna cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, I embarked on a solo practice before joining the prestigious Jacobsen Law Firm in late 2020.With a declining attorney base in rural areas, I am enthusiastically establishing a community based General Practice with an emphasis on Estate Planning, Small Business, Real Estate, and Criminal Law. After growing up in the small hamlet of Hugo, near Forest Lake, I lived in both Twin Cities before settling in Kenyon with my wife and three kids, more than a decade ago. I enjoy coaching my kids in baseball and softball, and love watching them compete. I am currently an active member of the Kenyon Wanamingo School Board and past President of my local in the Machinists Union. I am a huge Minnesota Sports fan that enjoys international travel, and have recently discovered a passion for CrossFit.I look forward to working with you on your case and helping you any, and every way I can.
