I have been engaged in the private practice of law since 1977, specializing in criminal law and white collar criminal matters.  I was an Assistant District Attorney and Chief of the Homicide Bureau in Nassau County from 1969 to 1977.  I served as a Special Prosecutor in Suffolk County and taught with the title of Associate Professor of Law and Psychiatry at C.W. Post College.  I am a Fellow with the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, former President of the Theodore Roosevelt Inn of Court, and am active in many bar associations.  I have been selected by the New York Times to its top 100 list of Super Lawyers in the New York Metropolitan area for the past 6 years.  I am rated "AV Preeminent" by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for professional excellence and ethics, and was the New York State Bar Association selection for the Charles F. Crimi Memorial Award for outstanding defense practictioner.

I am a Former State Prosecutor (Major Offense Bureau in the Bronx District Attorney's Office) with vast experience & expertise in all aspects of Criminal Law, Family Law & Litigation in general (39 years and counting). My office also specializes in all aspects of Personal Injury Law / matters.. Further, I have had substantial long term leadership positions and roles in professional, civic and religious organizations, from the Judiciary Committee, the Grievance Committee, Boards of Directors and the Parish Council, to the Huntington Tri-Village Baseball League. Consistent therewith, I have also spoken and lectured on behalf of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
