She was born in Seattle, Washington, raised in the area, and graduated from the University of Washington in 2009. In 2013, Ms. Ramos Birch received her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she ultimately earned the Public Interest & Social Justice Law Certificate with an Emphasis in Immigration and Refugee Law. Curtis Y. Chow is a member of the Immigration and International Practice Group of Ogletree Deakins, representing employers in all aspects of U.S. immigration law and compliance, as well as international employment matters.  Mr. Chow counsels employers in I-9 and E-Verify employment eligibility issues, including internal audits, government investigation, general compliance issues, and immigration related discrimination issues.  He also defends clients in federal employment discrimination claims, including actions alleging discrimination, retaliation, and harassment.  Mr. Chow also regularly assists employers with obtaining immigrant and nonimmigrant visas (“green cards” and temporary work permits) for their foreign employees..
