He was fortunate enough to be accepted to Valparaiso School of Law. Upon graduation and pursuing the Bar he took a position with Potter, Gillman, Galvin, Konecky, and Keesee in Rock Island. Within five years, he became a full partner.. Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Galvin was a member of the Quad Cities Postal Credit Union board of Directors for 15 years. He also served on the board of the Bettendorf Family Museum for several years.
