Lisa W. Bullard brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role at Walker & Bullard, P.A., where she has practiced since 1998. After earning her BA with honors from Wake Forest University and her law degree from the University of Kentucky, Lisa began her career in Greensboro, North Carolina, concentrating solely on Social Security Disability and Workers’ Compensation cases. She has maintained this focus throughout her career, successfully guiding hundreds of clients through complex claims and hearings. Lisa is deeply involved in her community, actively participating at St. Marks Church and serving on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Resource Center in Burlington. Daniel graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Daniel served on the Editorial Board of the South Carolina Law Review and received the CALI Award for Legal Drafting.. After graduating law school and practicing in South Carolina, most recently as a partner with a litigation defense firm in Columbia, Daniel joined our Asheville office as a partner, and his primary area of practice continues to be workers' compensation defense. He is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina.. Daniel was designated a Medicare Set-Aside Consultant Certified by the International Commission on Health Care Certification. He was certified as a Circuit Court Mediator by the South Carolina Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification.. Daniel has been included in Best Lawyers in America for Workers' Compensation from 2010 to 2014. He was also chosen by his peers to be listed as a “Rising Star” in the South Carolina Edition of Super Lawyers and has earned the highest (AV-Rated) ranking awarded by Martindale-Hubbell.. He is author of the article 2007 South Carolina Workers' Compensation Reform Act: An Overview, published in South Carolina Lawyer magazine, and is co-author of the treatise Beard, Poteat, Lamar, Sumwalt, Hayes, The Law of Workers' Compensation Insurance in South Carolina, Fifth Edition, published by the South Carolina Bar.

I graduated from Western Carolina University and Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Campbell University and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1991. I practiced from 1991 – 2001 with a larger Asheville firm. I re-joined two of his former partners, Ike Northup and Beth McConnell, in 2001.  Our attorneys represent clients in matters including: workers’ compensation defense, medical malpractice defense, construction matter, employment matters, patent litigation, intellectual property litigation, education matters and general insurance defense.. I am a NC Bar Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist and a Certified Mediator.  I have an AV Preeminent Rating with Martindale-Hubbell.  I am a member of the North Carolina State Bar, 28th Judicial District Bar, North Carolina Bar Association Mediation Section, and North Carolina Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section.  I am licensed to practice in North Carolina and the U.S. District Court.. Community involvement is very important as a member of the legal profession and within Asheville.  I served as the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Asheville, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Buncombe County Board of Education, Chairman of the Soqua District of the Daniel Boone Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and on the Asheville Buncombe Youth Soccer Association Board of Directors.  I currently serve on the Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College Foundation Board, the Buncombe County Schools Foundation Board and is a member of the Harry C. Martin American Inn of Court.
