I am a Tacoma native. I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, where he met his wife (Lillian), with degrees in History and Economics. Adam went to work, but his interest in pursuing the law prompted him to go to law school.. Soon Lillian, Adam, and their three girls packed up and moved to Salem, Oregon in order to attend Willamette University College of Law. While at Willamette, Adam served on three law journals, externed at the Oregon Tax Court, and worked for a small solo-practitioner. After graduating, he went to work for a small insurance defense firm, Frohnmayer Deatherage, in Medford, Oregon where he learned the strategies and tactics used by defense attorneys. Armed with that knowledge, Adam moved back to the Tacoma area and joined Jacobs & Jacobs.. Adam’s deep compassion for and devotion to his clients drives him in obtaining the best results. When not working on his client’s cases, Adam enjoys playing with his kids, fishing for lake trout, golfing, and reading books on American history.

In law school, I worked as an editor for the Journal of Law and Inequality, represented low-income individuals in disputes with their employers, helped a Guatemalan torture victim seek asylum in the United States, and researched school and housing segregation for the Institute on Race and Poverty. After law school, I served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Joan N. Ericksen in the federal district court of Minnesota and to Justices Alan Page, Helen Meyer, and Sam Hanson in the Minnesota Supreme Court.

As a lead prosecutor for King County, Wash., I spent 24 years investigating and trying some of the region's most dangerous criminals. Today, my passion is in cases where criminal and civil circumstances collide. I am a representative of Freidman Rubin, uncovering the truth and fighting for justice on behalf of those who've been seriously injured, physically and/or financially. I specialize in cases involving traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith.

When my partner and I opened our practice in 1999, we knew we wanted to do something that we enjoyed and that made a positive difference in people's lives.  Our personal injury practice allows us to do this.  I feel privileged every day to practice law with my friend.  I also feel honored to share in the lives and the personal stories of our clients.  Unfortunately, most of our clients have suffered tremendously as a result of injury.  It is rewarding to know that we have the skill and the experience to be of assistance and help them through a difficult time.. I like fast cars and snowmobiles. My favorite place in the world would be a deserted beach on the north shore of Kauai.
