After a former judge turned professor convinced her to pursue law school over law enforcement, Stephanie moved to Phoenix to establish herself in the Grand Canyon State. Stephanie went on to graduate from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University with a Sports Law and Business emphasis.. Following her passion, directly out of law school Stephanie began working in family law. She started as a direct service provider then led as an advocate for Arizona's Seriously Mentall Ill population.  Her company was contracted with the Arizona Department of Health Services to investigate allegations of physical abuse, sexual abuse and mortalities within the mental health system, and provide advocacy services.  This experience taught Tonya the art of advocating for people who are facing serious personal challenges by getting to the root of the issue, defining the appropriate solution, and advocating to acheive the client's goals.  This technique of acknowledging the conflict--whether its a business or interpersonal dispute--and developing a rational approach to attaining the desired outcome still holds true today in all areas of her practice..
