Firm: The Goldberg Legal Group
1601 Dove Street , Newport Beach , California 92660
Practice Areas: Divorce & Separation
As the principal attorney at The Goldberg Legal Group, Mr. David Goldberg brings over two decades of experience as a practicing attorney to your case. He is both aggressive and detail oriented in all areas of family and divorce law in Irvine. Much of his early years was spent working as a personal injury lawyer, where he gained extensive experience representing those who need insurance defense or were pursuing civil litigation. This experience got him interested in family law.. Family law also brought with it a broader appeal for David Goldberg. Because it covers a range of issues, it allows him to apply other areas of law, including some which were the focus of his legal education, like property, real estate, and tax law. In addition, family law allows David to work with contract law through the issues of child custody, child support, spousal support, attorney fees, breach of fiduciary duty, law and motion, discovery, mediation, complex property division, and settlement negotiations.. As a family law attorney, Mr. Goldberg specializes as an Irvine divorce attorney handling large asset cases where the parties involved have complicated marital estates and/or face complex business issues. His diverse legal background with experience in many areas as already outlined is an advantage to his clients because of the additional insight it gives him, especially in matters that are heavily contested where much is at stake.. David Goldberg' s legal education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Riverside and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law. After graduation, he was permitted to practice law before both the California State Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Currently, he is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Bar Association Family Law Section, the Orange County Jewish Bar Association, and the State Bar of California.

David A. Goldsmith began his career as a lawyer in 2004 working for a boutique defense firm specializing in breach of warranty and product liability litigation. Much of this early experience was devoted to defending major automobile manufacturers in lemon law cases.. In 2009, one of his firm's clients, Bentley Motors, Inc., hired David to manage its Consumer Affairs for the Americas region, which included United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean. In his initial role at Bentley, David set consumer policy and procedure, advised on federal and state regulation, trained dealership and internal personnel, drafted warranty manuals, and directed customer service involving product claims. He also directed internal personnel in pre-litigation, and outside counsel in litigation of consumer claims, including lemon law cases.. David's role at Bentley later expanded to include aspects of product marketing, communications, customer relationship management systems, Product Placement, management of VIP affairs for the Americas region, and fleet sales initiatives. The prevalence of consumer product and emissions regulations meant that David gained a higher level understanding of how automobile manufacturers relate with consumers, dealerships and the federal government regarding products after they enter the stream of commerce. This included management of critical concerns, including product liability and lemon law claims.. Today, David utilizes his previous background and the relationships he has formed as both a defense lawyer, and In-House Consumer Affairs Manager to achieve efficient resolutions for Consumers who have problems with products.
