During law school, she was the top scorer in two of her legal analysis, research, and writing courses. She received numerous accolades, including receiving CALI and Witkin awards for distinction in her law courses. She clerked for the Honorable L. Michael Clark, Superior Court Judicial Officer in Santa Clara County and interned with the Santa Clara County Office of the County Counsel in their Juvenile Dependency Unit. It was during her time with the County Counsel’s Office where she saw many children go through the under-funded foster care system. It was through this experience that made her realize all parents need proper estate planning to ensure their children do not end up in the broken foster care system.. After graduation, Lauren had a brief foray in family law before settling in estate planning. She practiced in an estate planning firm before opening her own practice in 2018. Lauren Rios established her estate planning process on the philosophy that everyday people deserve access to the exemplary services of a big firm, but with personal touch of a smaller firm. This belief is reflected in her delivery provided to her clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding communities..
