Brandon A. Takahashi is Head of Labor and Employment at ADLI Law Group. In his years as an employment litigator, Mr. Takahashi represented, among other clients, the Regents of the University of California in a case of first impression involving interpretation and application of California Government Code section 12940(g) with respect to claims of employer retaliation following alleged reports of suspected patient abuse at medical facilities. He also assisted in the defense of a series of cases throughout California which addressed a split of authority between the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal regarding the continued viability of the judicial exhaustion defense for public entities.. Mr. Takahashi was selected to the Lawyers of Color inaugural “Hot List” in 2013, consisting of the top 100 minority attorneys under the age of 40 in the Western Region of the United States. He has also been named a Rising Star by Southern California Super Lawyers, a designation reserved for the top 2.5% attorneys, for 4 years running, 2013 – 2016.. Mr. Takahashi received his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from the University of California, Davis in 2001, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2006..
