Why?  Because I know what it is like to be falsely accused.  I know what it is like to be stereotyped and harassed by the police.. Growing up in Southern California, and spending a lot of time at the beach, I was frequently contacted by the police.  Whether I was pulled over in my car, or approached on the boardwalk in San Diego, police officers seemed to want to stop and ask me questions, fishing for evidence of criminal activity..
