Bill is a native of Southern California. In 1994, he graduated with honors from the University of California Los Angles with a double major in economics and political science. After graduation, he traveled to Japan to teach English and then attended Loyola Law School and graduated in 1998 towards the top of his class. While at law school, he participated in the moot court competition and was involved in several law school organizations.Prior to forming Cumming & Associates, Bill was a partner at Lewis, Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, which is one of California’s largest law firms. While at the firm, his practice focused on civil litigation with an emphasis in business and commercial litigation, real estate, construction and intellectual property.  He has tried to conclusion both bench and jury trials and has also successfully resolved numerous claims by way of arbitration and mediation.  Bill is also an experienced bankruptcy attorney and his practice focuses on helping individuals and companies with Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies.Bill also works with several small to mid-size companies and handles their corporate transactional work.
