City of Santa Barbara (2019), which successfully overturned the City’s controversial 2015 ban of short-term vacation rentals in the Coastal Zone. He is also counsel of record in numerous wrongful death, personal injury and property damage cases filed against Southern California Edison and various public entities stemming from the Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslides. These “mass tort,” complex civil litigation cases are pending in Los Angeles Superior Court as the Southern California Fire Cases (Judicial Council Coordinated Proceeding No. 4965).. In addition, Mr. Logue is routinely engaged by ultra-high net worth clients with a variety of real estate holdings, from office buildings and apartments to ranches and luxury estates. Transactional clients appreciate his strong litigation practice and background in dispute resolution, along with his specific experience navigating challenges faced by real estate owners on the Central Coast. He has made numerous appearances in front of public agencies for land use issues and has handled dozens of mediations and arbitrations required under the California Association of Realtors contract. In 2018, he represented a client in the single sale of a portfolio of dozens of properties with a price in the mid-eight figures. During the same year, he represented a different client in the sale of its luxury, beachfront estate in the eight figures, a record for the region. He recently negotiated a long-term commercial lease exceeding 130,000 square feet to a Fortune 500 company. Moreover, in 2018, Mr. Logue represented the owner in the sale of over a dozen storage properties in California, Nevada, and Arizona to a private equity group and various individual buyers - one transaction involved the assumption of an existing commercial mortgage-backed securities loan, while another required navigation of the conduit loan defeasance process.. Furthermore, Mr. Logue is engaged by clients in litigation matters ranging from wrongful death and civil extortion to the California Coastal Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. He commonly handles real estate litigation matters, including disputes over easements, purchase agreements, leases, sellers’ misrepresentations, and quieting title. He has acted as counsel for Sotheby’s International Realty and has successfully represented real estate agents in front of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors’ ethics committee and fee arbitration panel.. As a member of the Hollister Ranch Owners’ Association for over 20 years and having served on its Board of Directors, Mr. Logue has a unique expertise in handling Hollister Ranch real estate and partnership transactions.. He is a fourth-generation Santa Barbara-area local. Before returning to Santa Barbara to establish his practice, Mr. Logue worked in several challenging, dynamic environments, including London, Los Angeles and Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.. Mr. Logue earned his J.D. from the University of Pepperdine School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the District of Columbia Bar. Mr. Logue graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Claremont McKenna College. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Marymount School of Santa Barbara. Summary:. Background:. Trevor started off his career in real estate as a licensed CA Real Estate Salesperson. As he worked diligently to become a Real Estate Broker, Trevor mainly serviced home-buyers and investors in the greater Sacramento residential markets. As a licensed Broker, Trevor now offers full service representation for buyers and sellers in both the residential markets and the commercial arena.. While in his late teens and early 20's, Trevor attended college at The University of California, Davis where he pursued his degree in Engineering. During his time at UC Davis, Trevor studied extensively in the fields of electro-magnetics, analog / digital electronics, material science, and structural engineering. Later, after acquiring his B.S.E.E., Trevor went to work for L-3 Narda-West, a worldwide leader in the development and delivery of state-of-the-art RF payload equipment for the Satellite Space and Launch Vehicle markets.. At his division of L-3 Communications, Trevor started work as a design engineer. During his time as an engineer, Trevor developed several telecommunication components both for geosynchronous space satellites and for missile targets. Customers including NASA, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Space Systems Loral, Orbital Sciences, Northrop Grumman, and the Department of Defense all have benefited from the design and manufacturing techniques practiced by Trevor during his career as an engineer. By the end of his career at L-3 Communications, Trevor had been promoted to Engineering Manager of New Product Introduction where he managed a team of electrical, computer, and process engineers in an effort to manufacture high reliability space products.. Trevor attended law school at Lincoln Law School of Sacramento with the intent to return to real estate development and sales, as well as to enter the field of intellectual property rights. However, during law school, Trevor developed a passion for the law and how it shaped every aspect of the world he and others lived in. As a result, Trevor ultimately decided not to limit his practice to such focused areas of the law. After working as an Associate for Murphy Campbell Alliston & Quinn, and learning from one of the most respected real estate litigation attorneys in California, Trevor set out to open his own practice focused on real estate services as well as comprehensive legal representation. After 9 years of running his own firm, Trevor joined TRAINOR FAIRBROOK, Sacramento’s most awarded real estate law firms, where he co-lead the firm’s leasing and property management division. Trevor’s practice at TRAINOR FAIRBROOK included primarily representation of landlords in planning, negotiating and drafting a wide range of office, retail, industrial, cell tower, and ground leases, as well as related commercial lease documents such as lease assignments and amendments. In December 2023, TRAINOR FAIRBROOK was acquired by Buchalter, an AM 200 law firm, at which point Trevor decided to reopen TWM Legal where he could continue providing exceptional legal services to his clients customized to fit their needs.. As your Attorney or Broker, you will feel comforted knowing that Trevor possesses special knowledge and skill resulting from his dynamic experience as an Engineer, Real Estate Broker, and Entrepreneur. His practice focuses heavily on real estate transactions (retail, office, development, and industrial) and disputes, intellectual property, business litigation, and general liability claims and defenses..
