Ellen Squires is a family law attorney mediator who originally hails from a small suburb north of Chicago.  She moved to Colorado Springs in 1984 to train at the Broadmoor World Arena with renowned figure skating coach Carlo Fassi. Following her retirement from the sport, Ellen Squires graduated cum laude from The Colorado College in 1992 and received her law degree from the University of Denver in 1996.. For the last seventeen years, Ellen Squires has practiced solely in the area of family law.  In 2011, she expanded her legal practice to include mediation services and now focuses solely on mediation.  Ellen Squires is drawn to family law because it affords her the opportunity to positively affect families in crisis – in particular, the ability to mitigate conflict, which ultimately protects children..
