Practice Areas: Criminal Defense
LeRoy Costner is a Death Penalty Certified and experienced trial lawyer. LeRoy Costner understands when you start something, you must finish it. LeRoy has done it all – farmed cotton fields in Mississippi, and orange groves in Polk County. He had to work full time to put himself through college at Valencia Community College and Florida Southern University. During school, he worked at Universal Studios and a five star Orlando hotel as a concierge, where he learned the “fine art” of service. He then graduated from Barry University School of Law where he won the prestigious Lion of Justice award from the Florida Bar Standing Committee on Professionalism. During his final semester of law school, he worked at the Orange County State Attorney’s Office as a Certified Legal Intern prosecuting 1st and 2nd-degree misdemeanors.. After graduating from law school, he took a job with the Monroe County State Attorney’s Office in Key West, Florida. Over the next five years, he prosecuted thousands of criminal cases. As an Assistant State Attorney, he was a special prosecutor for DUI cases, receiving the same training that law enforcement officers undergo, as well specialized training in prosecution. Before taking on the additional responsibilities of prosecuting crimes of violence, LeRoy was selected to train incoming DUI prosecutors. He then went on to prosecute numerous violent crimes for the Government and was often chosen by his bosses to prosecute conflict cases in other counties which is an honor for a prosecutor.. When LeRoy goes to work for you –here is some of what you can expect – he will diplomatically negotiate with the opposing side so that he can keep the lines of communication open and get the best results for you; he will methodically check the accuracy of your case for all possible defenses. He will maintain communication with you at every turn, and he WILL fight for you if it comes down to a jury trial.. Hard work. That is what Leroy Costner will provide for his clients.

Kendall Horween

501 N. Magnolia Avenue , Orlando , Florida 32801
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense
I have lived in Florida since I was 2 years old.  First in Miami, then West Palm Beach, and now I make Orlando my home with my family.. Verbal battling was always natural to me, so it would seem ftting that being a lawyer was in my future.  The trick, however, is to know when it's time to battle and when it's time to extend an olive branch.  This is something that I belive comes naturally, but must be defined through experience.  I now have about 15 years of experience as a lawyer and feel very comfortable in any setting against any other attorney in representing the best interests of my clients.  After all, there is no reason to be afraid of another attorney, judge, prosecutor, or court itself.  At least that's my position.. I began my legal career at the State Attorney's Office in Orange County Florida (Orlando).  While there I earned a Top Performer Award and Merit Raise for my prosecuting.  I handled traffic, misdemeanors, and felonies.  My last stint at the office was as a Domestic Violence Specialist Prosecutor.  While in that role I also had the responsibility of training and mentoring younger prosecutors.  One of whom, I am proud to say, has moved up quite high in the ranks of the office.. Upon leaving the State I worked for another attorney in town for about a year.  Then I partnered up with two other attorneys.  One attorney left and it was me and one partner.  Being a partner can be difficult.  Eventually, we went our separate ways and I have happily been on my own for about seven years now.  I handle my own cases.  I do not meet with clients only to let an associate or paralegal handle your case.  I am available to my clients by cell, text, or email at any time including the weekends and holidays.. I greatly enjoy meeting people and learning their stories.  It's always something different.  Not all cases are very serious, but I try to stick to a simple approach....honesty.  I will not tell a client something just to make them feel better.  It would be easy to do, but I'm more of an attorney or counselor than a salesman I suppose.  Many of the cases I get now are referrals from former clients who know that I will charge a fair rate, defend the case as well as possible, and be honest during a time when someone needs that the most.. In the end my goal is to get charges dropped first then try to keep my client out of jail.  What I can promise is my best effort at a reasonable rate during a difficult time.
