I have been proudly practicing law since since 1993. We focus on personal injury, workers' compensation and now Mass Tort claims. Some examples includ: Roundup, Zantac, Hernia Mesh, Johnson & Johnson's baby powder, Essure and the 3M earplugs litigation. The firm only represents injured individuals and their families. A no obligation case review is offered. In fact, should you hire us, there are no up-front attorney's fees or costs unless there is a court award or settlement. Moreover and as a courtesy to the public, if the firm cannot help with your particular legal issue, we'll gladly take the time to make a referral to another attorney who may be able to 's why I pride myself as being the Referral King!

Experience matters. Since 1992, Frank W. Piazza has been helping injured workers receive the benefits they deserve.. Mr. Piazza received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of South Florida in 1987, followed by his law degree from the University of Florida in 1990. Since May of 1992, he has represented literally thousands of injured workers in Southwest Florida, and has handled all types of cases.. “My approach to representing people is perhaps different than others. I actually enjoy meeting with and getting to know each of my clients. In many instances, they become my friends. I am happy to answer their questions and explain each stage of their case with them. That’s my job. I want my clients to feel cared for. When you become a client, you become part of our family. That’s my approach. Old school? Perhaps, but sometimes there’s only one way to get the job done, the right way!”. Mr. Piazza’s professional memberships have included the Florida Workers’ Advocates, American Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Association for Conflict Resolution, and the Orange, Lee and Collier County Bar Associations. He is triple-certified as a mediator by the Florida Supreme Court. He has lectured at educational conferences at the invitation of the Florida Bar Association.. Mr. Piazza resides in Naples with his wife of 33 years, Angela, and their two dogs, Ella and Annie. He is an active drummer, and frequently plays and records music with local musicians. He admits to being a car buff, and enjoys taking his car to the racetrack in Sebring from time to time to, “Blow off a little steam.”

Geoff Bichler is the founding member and managing partner of Bichler & Longo, PLLC and represents first responders around the State of Florida with work related disability issues. Mr. Bichler received both his M.A. and J.D. from the University of Miami and has been handling workers’ compensation and pension matters for firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians and correctional officers for more nearly thirty years.. Mr. Bichler speaks frequently to first responder groups, lawyers, and law school classes about the unique occupational health and safety issues facing first responders and special legislation protecting these groups. With a unique focus on First Responder occupational injury and disease, Mr. Bichler and his firm have played a prominent role in many of the most significant cases involving heart disease, hypertension, PTSD, cancer, and repetitive trauma injuries in these populations. In 2016 two of the firm’s cases involving First Responders resulted in findings that Florida workers’ compensation law was unconstitutional and in 2018 an adverse decision related to PTSD coverage for a client of the firm provided an impetus for successful legislative action.. Mr. Bichler spends a great deal of time in Tallahassee supporting legislation specific to first responders and was instrumental in the passage of the PTSD bill for Florida first responders during the 2018 legislative session. He continues to work for the passage of legislation that will make certain types of cancer presumptively work-related in fire service, and for positive legislation that will enhance benefits and improve safety and wellness for injured workers more generally.. Mr. Bichler is a member of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group, the Executive Council of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, and Florida Workers Advocates. He was also recently appointed to the Board of Directors for Kids Chance Florida which provides scholarships for children of parents who suffer catastrophic work injuries. He has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in America, is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, and has appeared in both Florida Trend’s Legal Elite Edition and Orlando Magazine’s Best Lawyers Edition for the last fifteen years. Mr. Bichler was named Claimant “Lawyer of the Year” for 2014 and 2017 in the State of Florida.. When he is not practicing law Mr. Bichler enjoys travel, sports, and time with his family.

I was born in Orlando and am a second generation attorney. I graduated from Presbyterian College in 1979 and went on to attend to obtain my law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. I became Board Certified in Workers' Compensation in 1990 and have remained Board Certified since that time. Tom DeLattre became my law partner in 2007. The firm is now known as Wieland & DeLattre, P.A. I have twice served as President of the Florida Workers' Advocates and is still a member of the Board of Directors of that organization. I served as Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (now known as the Florida Justice Association) and was asked to serve as an advisory to the Florida Division of Workers' Compensation on several occasions. I have served as Chair of the Executive Council of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar from 2019-2020 and remains a member of the Executive Council. I am a Fellow in the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers. I am a past member of the statewide Workers' Compensation Fraud Task Force. My father, Bill Wieland, served as a Judge of Compensation Claims for over 23 years. I have served his community as past Chair of the Orlando Area for the Homeless.
