Location: Massachusetts So I am an 18-year-old Future Sailor currently in DEP for the Nuclear Field. My original ship date to RTC is October 5th. Recently, my recruiter informed me that my mother has been contacting my recruiting station directly. She is Belarusian and intensely opposed to the American military, panicking about me leaving, and has a plan to move to Belarus, and thinks I’m a traitor (I’ve lived here in Massachusetts my whole life and literally have no ties to Belarus or Russia). Not only is she panicking or worrying, but she seems to genuinely believe that this decision will ruin my life, make my younger 10 year old brother want to join, and will ruin any chances of her living a normal life back in Belarus due to having a son in the US Military. According to my recruiters, she has been secretly collecting audio recordings of me inside her house during heated verbal family arguments (me getting angry/yelling) in an attempt to build a legal case to have me arrested or deemed unstable so the Navy will cancel my contract. Or at least that what my PO was told by the CPO who she had contacted. What I’m really torn about is that this seems legit, I see no reason for the recruiters to make up bullshit like this. I’m leaving anyways in less than 50 days, and I’ve been in DEP like 6 months so why would I leave now. And why would they just make…
I’m worried that my partner might have violated his probation again | Aug 2, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit
location: Massachusetts My boyfriend has a history of charges involving domestic violence, and was imprisoned last year on two felony counts of possession of CSAM. He got out in March and violated his probation soon after by driving without a license. The courts found him in violation and reprobated him. I was relieved, and now I’m worried he might have caught another violation. Before we were together, right before he got out of jail, he gave an “overly friendly” correctional officer his information then met up with her on the outside. He was talking about it on a video visit with his incarcerated friend, and since calls are monitored, they took his friend in to be interviewed. Then, as of a few days ago, they interviewed my partner. They told him she already told them everything and not to lie to them, that he won’t get in trouble. He confessed to everything, and we found out yesterday that she lost her job. I don’t know the exact details of his probation, but I cannot imagine his probation officer will look at this situation and be happy. He also knows that his sister has warrants and lied to the police last week that were looking for her, saying she doesn’t live with him, and he doesn’t know who she is. I don’t know. I’m very in my head right now. How likely is it that they’ll count either of these two situations as violations?
