John was born in New York City, where he lived until his family relocated to New Jersey shortly before junior high school.  Following high school, John attended college in Baltimore  at Loyola College in Maryland, now Loyola University in Maryland, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science in 1995.  John then attended law school at Seton Hall University School of Law, in New Jersey, where he obtained a J.D. in 1999.  After law school, John relocated to Las Vegas, where he served a judicial intership with the Hon.
