Our typical client is a man who has worked his whole life to provide for his family — he didn’t do anything wrong, and yet he ends up with this awful disease. Money can never fully compensate him for the loss of his health. But, often, a client will tell us that it is a great comfort to him, knowing that even though he is sick, he is still providing for his family through the settlements and verdicts we obtain on his behalf. Our team works to make sure that our client’s lifetime efforts to support his family are not in vain. Personally, I‘m involved in every step of the litigation, right from the very start. We have a close working relationship with experts in the field who treat asbestos-related diseases, which helps both in court and in helping clients gain access to the best medical care available.. Leonard F. Feldman, Esq., runs our asbestos litigations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey from our offices in Cherry Hill, N.J. He joined Weitz & Luxenberg in 2009. An experienced trial attorney admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Mr. Feldman over the years has secured numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis victims from across the Garden and Keystone states. Additionally, he holds privileges to represent clients in federal court — specifically, U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.. Earlier in his career, Mr. Feldman served as chief of the Montgomery County, Pa., insurance fraud unit and, prior to that, as a Norristown, Pa., assistant district attorney.. Mr. Feldman in 1993 obtained a juris doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law. While a student there, he served as an editor of The Business Lawyer, a journal published by the American Bar Assn. In 1989, Mr. Feldman received from Cornell University a bachelor of science degree in industrial and labor relations.. He is a longtime active member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and, previously, was executive director of the American Interfaith Institute. A sports enthusiast, Mr. Feldman coaches Little League baseball in his community.

As much as I love being in the courtroom, my favorite part of law is meeting with people and working together with them to improve their lives, despite the tragedy that has hit them, and the pride I feel when my clients have overcome their struggles.. I am a shareholder and founding member of the Tomes Law Firm, PC. I received my law degree in 1986 after being able to attend college and law school on scholarships while holding down a full time job. Always a strong believer in the American Dream and the rights of the underdog, I work with business clients to lift and grow their business into a legacy with which they can experience the American Dream and I help injured, defrauded and debt ridden people battle the government, insurance companies, banks, pharmaceutical companies and other big business to obtain the justice they deserve. I handle cases involving general civil litigation, including medical malpractice claims, pharmaceutical and medical device claims, class actions, fraud and business litigation.. I have also litigated as co-lead counsel consumer product class actions that have generated settlements for consumers nationwide. In Extensis, Inc. v. Hewlett-Packard Company, I was co-lead counsel in a consumer fraud class action that resulted in a settlement valued at over $140 million in rebate certificates and repair kits for purchasers of certain defective HP LaserJet printers. Other cases in which I obtained large settlements in class action suits include Pisano v. Peg Perego, involving defective strollers, as well as Gutelkov v. Buy Buy Baby, involving improper tax charges.. I have successfully resolved student loan debts by convincing NJ HESAA to deduct thousands of dollars on its interest so that students can get a fair break as well as taken on the Internal Revenue Service to reduce client’s liability for taxes. I have litigated substantial business claims for local businesses as well as helped them plan their business to grow and avoid court, a passion I am most proud of as I am an entrepreneur herself.. Many of my personal injury claims have resolved for 7 figures allowing my clients to fulfill their medical needs and I have successfully represented numerous individuals denied their disability benefits by Social Security.. I am a member of the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Association of Justice and a member of the Insurance Bad Faith Committee of the New Jersey Association of Justice and am a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Committees for Consumer Protection, Medical Malpractice, Class Action and Product Liability as well as a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.. I have been designated as one of the Top Attorneys in New Jersey by my peers since worked Pro-Bono as Co-Liaison Counsel for the former New Jersey Bextra Pharmaceutical Injury Litigation, was previously a member of the Middlesex County Asbestos Advisory Board as well as handled a number of cases without charge for impoverished clients of Legal Services of New Jersey.. I am married and have two children who are pursuing the American Dream of also being an entrepreneur in building their own businesses. In her past time, she loves meeting people, reading about personal and business growth as well as watching ice hockey and soccer, the two sports her children played. Much of my time is spent lecturing and writing to educate the public about their rights.

Brendan O'Malley
200 Lake Drive East , Cherry Hill , New Jersey 08002
Practice Areas: Mesothelioma & Asbestos
Mesothelioma devastates lives. It also devastates families. Going to court against the corporations that cause this devastation is the right thing to do. I’m pleased to be part of Weitz & Luxenberg’s efforts to help mesothelioma patients and their loved ones.. Weitz & Luxenberg attorneys own a reputation as hard-hitting, pull-no-punches courtroom advocates. Many of them built those reputations while working as prosecutors tasked with putting criminals behind bars and making the streets safe. That’s how Brendan J. O’Malley earned his reputation.. Before joining Weitz & Luxenberg in 2015 as an asbestos and mesothelioma attorney, Mr. O’Malley was a Philadelphia assistant district attorney. Specifically, he was assigned to the homicide unit where he handled a heavy caseload of investigations and trials. Many of these involved complex, multi-defendant shootings. He brought to justice serial slayers and — in one instance — the killer of a police officer.. Of the 27 murder cases he tried, 17 resulted in first- or second-degree murder convictions or life-without-parole sentences. In total, he brought 75 jury trials to verdict. Prior to assignment to the homicide unit he was with the team responsible for locking up hardcore career criminals, including armed robbers, assailants, and drug traffickers. Mr. O’Malley first went to work for the city’s district attorney in 2003.. Mr. O’Malley began his career in law as an associate attorney with the Pittsburgh, PA, firm of Thorp Reed & Armstrong. There, he represented commercial lenders. Mr. O’Malley joined Thorp Reed & Armstrong in 2002, the same year he graduated with a juris doctor degree from Temple University School of Law. His academic achievements were impressive: staff editor of the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal; Dean's Honor List, 1999-2000; and distinguished class performance recognition in trial advocacy.. During law school, Mr. O’Malley received a foretaste of the prosecutorial role he would later play by virtue of participating in a clinical studies program that placed him in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and then in the office of the prosecutor for Camden County, NJ.. Mr. O’Malley entered law school after completing undergraduate studies at George Washington University where, in 1998, he earned a bachelor’s degree in international affairs. He distinguished himself as a two-year member of the Dean’s List and as co-captain of the men’s varsity crew team.
