Kat Fox, J.D., has a well-earned reputation for being self-driven and extremely dedicated, both in the legal profession and in her own professional development in general. As a student, she worked for the Radiation Exposure Screening and Education Program (RESEP), a federally funded organization that monitors the health of former coal miners and provides them with periodic screenings. She then served as a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of Tribal Relations in coordination with Food Policy Councils stationed in reservations throughout the country. During this time, she also served as a Student Leader on the Indigenous Food and Agricultural initiative, all while simultaneously pursuing her J.D. In her last years of Law School, Kat acted as a Certified Student Attorney for the Drake University Legal Clinic and the Polk County Attorney’s Office in Des Moines, Iowa. All this, accomplished before she had even completed law school.. Kat’s hard work in the courtroom and the office has marked her as someone prepared to take on nearly anything that comes her way.
