I primarily represent individuals and businesses in land condemnation and eminent domain trial litigation, but also in obtaining zoning permits and variances, litigating zoning appeals before local boards, and resolving contract, covenant, and easement disputes between landowners.. I have represented a broad spectrum of people and businesses in property-related matters including: homeowners, places of worship, convenience store gas stations, restaurants (sit-down and fast food), farms, country clubs, subdivision developments, warehouses, small business owners, car sales lots, and hotels.. As a result of my eminent domain work, I have been selected to the North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars list every year since 2015.  As a result of my zoning work, I have been selected to Best Lawyers in America every year since 2021.. I was born in Charlotte, grew up in Greenwood, SC, and graduated from high school in Hendersonville, NC. I met my wife in law school, and we have one daughter.

Tommy Odom is the manager and the supervising trial and appellate attorney for The Odom Firm.  Tommy practices law with his wife, Martha Odom, and his father, Fountain Odom.  Tommy has three children, Tripp, Annie and Max.. Since graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 1983 with a B.A. in political science and law school at Wake Forest in 1987, Tommy has devoted his practice of law to representing individuals and businesses in the trial and appellate courts of North Carolina.  He seeks to protect the rights of individuals and businesses when the government uses its power of eminent domain to take their property or when they are injured by the wrongful conduct of others..
