Family law has been my passion for my entire career and I have limited my practice exclusively to this area of the law since becoming licensed in 2011. I assist clients in dissolution, divorce, child custody and child support cases in domestic relations and juvenile courts. My practice is centered in Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties in Ohio and Kenton, Boone and Campbell counties in Kentucky. I am trained in Collaborative Law and have experience with many complex family law issues, including high-conflict custody cases, business valuations, and separate property tracing issues.. My clients are extremely important to me. I want to make a personal connection with every client so I can understand their individual needs in the process, legally, emotionally and financially. When you are going through a family law issue, it can often feel as if your world has been turned upside down. There are so many uncertainties during this time and imagining your future can be scary. It is my job to take some of that uncertainty away by using my legal knowledge to provide a calm voice of guidance and support.. Family law issues involve some of the most important things in your life: your children and your livelihood. I understand that who you hire as your attorney is one of the most impactful decisions you will make in this process, and I take my job very seriously. Getting to know my clients allows me to best understand the approach that will be most effective for their case. While I personally believe that collaboration and amicable results are best for families and children, I acknowledge in some cases this is simply not possible. When settlement is not a viable option, I use my litigation and advocacy skills to achieve outcomes for my clients in the courtroom setting. From the very beginning of my career, I have chosen to exclusively practice in the area of Family Law. I am passionate about guiding people through this complex process and assisting them through my knowledge and expertise. One of my greatest skills is my ability to explain to clients difficult, complicated and often foreign legal and financial concepts in a way they can truly understand, so they are then able to make important decisions about their future. Clients come to me in one of the most difficult parts of their lives. They are often managing more transitions than they ever imagined, all at once. My job is to walk them through the legal process, ensuring they are protected and that their interests are advocated for.. I strive to be a calm and knowledgeable advisor to my clients. Family law matters can often be an extremely emotionally draining process. It is essential for clients to have a calm, clear-headed and knowledgeable advisor who can help them evaluate information when their emotions have taken over. My goal is to ensure that my clients are fully informed regarding each and every option available to them, including the potential benefits and detriments of their choice. At the end of the day, the decisions are always up to the client. However, it is my duty to ensure they have all the information necessary to make the choice that is right for them and their family.. I strongly believe that in most cases, the best results are reached through out of court resolution. Clients and their families are generally much better served by agreements they create themselves, with the assistance of their attorneys. Negotiated settlements can be much more creative, and tailor fit to the specific needs of the parties. However, I recognize that out of court settlement is not always possible, for one reason or another. In such cases, I utilize my advocacy and litigation skills to strive for the best possible outcome.. My proudest achievement in each case is guiding clients through an extremely difficult time by providing legal counsel and support, and seeing a client at the end of that process, feeling stronger and more secure in their future..
