Noah is a member of the Oregon State Bar and is admitted to practice in the Federal District Court for the District of Oregon and is a member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Noah serves as part of the Criminal Justice Act Panel of lawyers who handle federal criminal cases when the federal defender's office has a conflict.. As an experienced trial lawyer and courtroom advocate who graduated from the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia and the OCDLA Trial Skills College in Eugene, Oregon Noah teaches Voir Dire to new lawyers in the criminal defense bar through his membership in the Metropolitan Public Defender Trial Skills Faculty and at the OCDLA New Lawyers Conference. Noah has been a featured speaker at the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Annual and Winter Conferences and the New Lawyers Annual Seminar. Noah also teaches high school students about consent and sex crimes for the Classroom Law Project.. Noah grew up in Massachusetts. He earned a BS in Biology and Environmental Studies from Tufts University where he was a member of the Men's Swimming team and a Captain and Most Valuable Player of the Water Polo team. After college, Noah earned a Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health while simultaneuously working at a pulmonary immunology research lab. Noah moved to Oregon in 2004 to attend Lewis and Clark Law School where he was an editor at the Lewis and Clark Law review and earned an Enviromental and Natural Resources Law Certificate.. During Law School, Noah worked as a law clerk at the Department of Justice Trial Division in Salem and as a Law Clerk for the Federal Public Defender. After graduation, Noah worked as a Staff Attorney at Metropolitan Public Defender Services, Inc. and handled hundreds of cases including felonies, misdemeanors, civil commitments, probation violations and restraining orders. Noah's current practice is a mix of criminal defense and civil rights litigation in Oregon's state and federal courts.

Noah joins our firm after working in the Marion County District Attorney’s office as a court-certified law clerk, managing a case load of twenty to thirty cases. While there he represented the State in all aspects of juvenile delinquency cases from intake to trial, prosecuting all levels of offenses from violations to Class A felonies, preparing and arguing pretrial motions, and researching and drafting memoranda for Deputy District Attorneys and presentation to Marion County police chiefs to provide guidance for office policy and local law enforcement of ever-changing drug laws.. While in law school, he ranked second in a class of 100 and received the American Bankruptcy Institute Award and the Bruce Spaulding Trial Competition. He was Student Bar Association Second Vice President (2014-15).. Noah enjoys watching baseball, mixed martial arts, and exploring the scenic beauty of Oregon with his wife and dog.
