Noah serves as part of the Criminal Justice Act Panel of lawyers who handle federal criminal cases when the federal defender's office has a conflict.. As an experienced trial lawyer and courtroom advocate who graduated from the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia and the OCDLA Trial Skills College in Eugene, Oregon Noah teaches Voir Dire to new lawyers in the criminal defense bar through his membership in the Metropolitan Public Defender Trial Skills Faculty and at the OCDLA New Lawyers Conference. Noah has been a featured speaker at the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Annual and Winter Conferences and the New Lawyers Annual Seminar. He earned a BS in Biology and Environmental Studies from Tufts University where he was a member of the Men's Swimming team and a Captain and Most Valuable Player of the Water Polo team. After college, Noah earned a Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health while simultaneuously working at a pulmonary immunology research lab. Noah moved to Oregon in 2004 to attend Lewis and Clark Law School where he was an editor at the Lewis and Clark Law review and earned an Enviromental and Natural Resources Law Certificate.. During Law School, Noah worked as a law clerk at the Department of Justice Trial Division in Salem and as a Law Clerk for the Federal Public Defender. After graduation, Noah worked as a Staff Attorney at Metropolitan Public Defender Services, Inc. and handled hundreds of cases including felonies, misdemeanors, civil commitments, probation violations and restraining orders. Noah's current practice is a mix of criminal defense and civil rights litigation in Oregon's state and federal courts.
