Beth received her degree from the University of South Dakota where she graduated with Honors with a double major in political science and psychology. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Beth went to University of South Dakota Law School and graduated with her juris doctrine and Masters in Public Administration. After graduation, Beth worked at the South Dakota Attorney General's Office, first working on appeals then as the Chief Legal Counsel for the Consumer Protection Division, where she handled everything from civil judgments to criminal prosecutions. Most notably, Beth argued State v. Toben in front of the South Dakota Supreme Court during the October 2013 term.
