My practice focuses on family law with an emphasis on collaborative divorce and mediation.  In my family law practice, I have always sought mutually beneficial solutions to family disputes while actively representing my clients. After seeing the damage a litigated divorce can do to couples and families, I was happy to discover a positive alternative—collaborative divorce.  Now, as a collaborative practitioner, I have seen firsthand how the collaborative process can help couples reach a settlement as close to win-win as possible under the circumstances.  A divorce is a sad and difficult time, but the collaborative process is designed to help couples get through it constructively. Collaborative means working together, and that’s exactly what the couple, their collaborative lawyers, and any neutral experts on the collaborative team do. This is a radically different approach to divorce but one that makes sense for couples who want a private, respectful, cost-efficient divorce that protects families.  The collaborative process can also be used to resolve family law disputes other than divorces.. Ms. Munsinger received her B.A. summa cum laude from Trinity University (Texas) in 1995, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  She received her J.D. from the University of Texas in 2000, where she was a Notes Editor on the Texas Law Review.  Ms. Munsinger is the editor of Collaborative Law—Start to Finish from TexasBarBooks.. Ms. Munsinger is admitted to practice in Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
