I grew up poor but I figured out early on that education was the way out of poverty. I always did well in school and, from the third grade on, I made up my mind I was going to become an attorney and help people. Today, after many years of practice, I still have a burning desire to help the underdog and advance causes of social justice. To me, the accident victim is the underdog in every case. He finds himself in debt with hospital bills, undable to work becauase of his injuries, and yet the adjuster won't even return his calls. I get great satisfaction knowing I can level the playing field and get the adjuster's attention as soon as I enter the case.. When I am not seeking justice for my clients, I am either relaxing at home with my wife, traveling, or doing things with our grown twin daughters. I love to read biographies and have a serious interest in American and Texas history. I also enjoy spending time on my farm, tending to the land and riding and training my horses.

Bob has handled a variety of complex lawsuits in Texas and many other U.S. states, some of which have involved seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements. In fact, together with his colleagues, he helped obtain a $67,470,000 unanimous verdict on behalf of a paralyzed client in 2015, one of the largest jury verdicts in the United States that year. In 2016 he was co-counsel in another trial involving a young man who was left with a brain injury after a recreational boxing game. That trial resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $17 million, one of the largest verdicts in the state of Texas that year. In 2011 he helped represent the family of a young man who was nearly cut in half in a forklift rollover. That trial resulted in one of the largest workplace accident verdicts in Texas in 2011. More recently he was honored to be one of the lawyers representing the family of Sandra Bland in their litigation against the Texas Department of Public Safety and the county jail where Sandra died--a suit which not only resulted in a considerable monetary settlement for her family but which also led to permanent changes in jail policies and procedures. Bob also gives lectures on legal topics at seminars around the United States and Canada and conferences and has been featured on television news programs. Among his many recognitions, Bob has been named to the SuperLawyers® list from 2011-2016, is a peer-nominated member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and has been "AV" rated by the Martindale-Hubbell legal publication since 2003--that esteemed publication's highest rating for an attorney.. Bob moved to Texas in the early 1970s from the East Coast. As the son of first-generation Polish immigrants, his parents instilled in him the values of loyalty, patriotism, and the importance of family. They taught him the importance of “paying your dues,” and as a student he worked several jobs simultaneously while attending classes full-time. As an accomplished school athlete and national merit scholar, Bob’s hard work never faltered. As a law student, Bob joined the team at Tom Rhodes Law Firm, P.C. as a clerk, and has worked alongside Tom Rhodes ever since.. Bob is a dedicated family man and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children.

As the son of a school teacher, Rieker Carsey was influenced early on to use his drive and education to help others. Though Rieker always knew he wanted to be a lawyer, it wasn't until he saw the way insurance companies disregarded the basic rights of their customers that he knew he wanted to fight to victim's rights.. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Rieker is devoted to his hometown. His wife is a native of Dallas who attended TCU and, thankfully for Rieker, decided to stay. They live in Fort Worth with their two dogs. An avid sports fan, Rieker also enjoys running, reading, and an occasional yoga session when his wife can convince him to tag along.
