NBLSC is an American Bar Association-accredited organization that identifies attorneys who meet stringent requirements for certification. To become board certified, an attorney's experience, judicial and peer references, and disciplinary notices are evaluated. There is also an exam to ensure that the lawyer's legal knowledge is up to the highest standards. If certification is achieved, it is reviewed and—if an attorney is again approved—renewed every five years. Attorneys who are board certified in family law must be able to demonstrate that they can provide certain services for clients. These include negotiation and mediation practices, pre or post nuptial agreement drafting, settlement agreements and parenting plan creation, domestic violence protections, and other necessary and critical services. Attorney Langdon’s board certification is just the latest notice he has accumulated in his career. He is the only attorney in the State of Arkansas accepted as a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
