I began my legal career working as a defense attorney for an insurance company. Later in my career, I defended insurance companies in bad faith litigation. Prior to entering law school, I worked as a property and casualty claims adjuster for two national insurers, handling wildfire and mudslide catastrophe claims in California, as well as mid to large loss claims arising from hurricanes in the Southern U.S.. My experience both as a claims adjuster and lawyer taught me that in order to obtain the best settlement, you have to show the insurance company and/or the defense you are willing and prepared to take the case to trial. Steven Weier received his BA in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics in 1985.   After working in corporate management for a number of years, he passed the Uniform CPA exam in 1987.   Steven attended lawschool at the University of Puget Sound and graduated in 1992.   After passing the Washington State Bar Exam on the first try, Steven spent several years gaining valuable experience in public accounting and then later in personal injury litigation.   Following several years as a litigator for a downtown Seattle personal injury firm.
