As a family law attorney for more than 30 years, I am intensely aware of the complex and often deeply painful, personal struggles that arise when family members are immersed in legal conflicts. Particularly when a marriage is unraveling, the mediation process enables you to disengage from negative and destructive communication and to recreate your relationship in a way that allows you to continue separately as respectful co-parents, or, if there are no children, to let go of your marriage and move forward with dignity.. I work with a wide range of family clients — from couples who are divorcing to grandparents and adult children in conflict over grandparent visitation rights, from parents locked in custody disputes to families arguing over decisions about an aging parent’s care and finances. I also help employers and employees to disentangle from workplace conflicts and build more effective business relationships.. I am committed to helping my clients achieve a fair and reasonable agreement. In addition to my role as the sole proprietor of Solutions Through Mediation Marcia E. Tannenbaum, Esq., I have volunteered for many years as Lawyer for the Day in the Probate and Family Court of Worcester, and now participate in the ARC (Attorneys Representing Children) Program providing Court appointed pro bono representation for children in contentious custody cases.. I also teach in WISE (the Worcester Institute for Senior Education) which is a program of Assumption University. My love of literature and travel was combined in the summer of 2018 when I traveled with a group of my Can Lit (Canadian Literature) students to Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal. I am hoping to return to Ottawa next spring to see the Tulip Festival when the entire landscape of the city is covered with glorious tulips.
