Michael has been practicing in the Gainesville area since graduating from the University of Florida with a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Taxation. His practice is focused on federal and state tax controversy as well as a wide variety of tax related issues such as estate tax planning and structuring charitable organizations. Michael earned his JD, magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in Virginia where he had the opportunity to represent clients in both a low income taxpayer clinic and a general civil practice clinic.. Michael was drawn to tax law because it is complex and requires intricate legal analysis while still being widely applicable to many different kinds of clients.
