I was trained in child welfare law and parent defense by Diane Redleaf and Melissa Staas at the Family Defense Center (FDC) where I worked as a clerk during law school and a post-graduation litigation fellow sponsored by Loyola University and FDC. I was barred in 2014 and started my own firm in January of 2015. During the pandemic the normalization of online meetings and hearings allowed me to expand my practice from Cook County north to the border, south to Kankakee, and west to Peoria.
