She served as the Staff Attorney for Judge Linda Rae Bramlage in Boone County Family Court from 2005 to 2007.. Ms. Dusing received her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2005. While in law school, she served as a senior staff member of the Kentucky Law Journal and the Treasurer of the Women’s Law Caucus. She was also a Student Public Interest Law Foundation (SPILF) grant recipient for both 2003 and 2004.. During law school, Ms. Dusing spent much of her time volunteering at different organizations including CASA Project of Lexington and Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky. She continued her volunteer work after law school as a runner with the Women’s Crisis Center of Northern Kentucky, and now serves as a Member of the Board of the Women’s Crisis Center of Northern Kentucky.. Apart from practicing law and her volunteer work, Ms. Dusing’s passion is adoption. She and her husband traveled to Ethiopia in 2010 to adopt their son and enrich their family forever. Ms. Dusing works closely on a personal and professional level with adoptive families all over Kentucky and the Cincinnati area.. Ms. Dusing grew up in Ashland, Kentucky, and attended college and received her B.A. in Sociology with a Philosophy emphasis from Hanover College in southern Indiana.. Ms. Dusing is licensed to practice law in Kentucky. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, and the Academy of Northern Kentucky Collaborative Professionals. She was also approved as a Mediator with Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts. Ms. Dusing lives in northern Kentucky with her husband, Andy, and their three children.
