Moreover, even though this was considered  a “win” for the client, Nathan appealed and won a complete victory in the Court of Appeals. After the appellate win, his client paid nothing and was awarded attorney fees exceeding $300,000.. The Court dismissed the case after concluding the relief the plaintiffs sought was predicated on a fraud.. • Alex was part of a team that obtained an opinion from the Court of Appeals that vacated a multi-million dollar judgment.  • As lead, first chair trial counsel, Alex convinced the Circuit Court to grant a dispositive motion -- filed in lieu of an answer -- that dismissed a business tort action filed by multiple plaintiffs. The Court went on to award Alex's client the costs and attorneys' fees she expended in defending the lawsuit.. • Alex provided extensive assistance in brief writing and at oral argument on a dispositive motion that convinced the Court to award a multi-million dollar judgment to a corporate client, along with his costs and attorneys' fees, in a complex environmental litigation matter..
