Kristen S. Scheuerman began her legal career at Herrling Clark Law Firm in 2011 and was named a Shareholder at the Firm in 2016. In 2022, Kristen joined Weiss Law Office, S.C and is currently the managing partner of the Firm's Appleton office.. Originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, Kristen graduated from Appleton East High School and received her Bachelor of Arts from Lawrence University. After working in corporate America for just over five years, Kristen enrolled at Marquette University Law School and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2010.. Over time, Kristen's practice has included appellate work in a variety of practice areas. In 2014, Kristen was involved in a case that was argued before the Wisconsin Supreme Court to determine the rights of injured parties to access UIM and UM insurance coverages during the "Truth in Auto" era.. Kristen has been recognized and named to the Wisconsin Super Lawyer "Rising Star" list for a number of consecutive years as well as being recognized as a Super Lawyer beginning in 2022. Kristen was also named to the "Top 40 Under 40" membership by the National Trial Lawyers organization in 2014 and was an Avvo Client’s Choice for Personal Injury that same year. Kristen earned additional accolades in 2015 and 2016 as a "Top 10 Attorney Under 40" for the State of Wisconsin by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. Kristen was again recognzied in 2022 by receiving the Avvo Client's Choice Award.. An especially meaningful accolade for Kristen was her inclusion in the Wisconsin Law Journal’s “2016 Women in the Law” honorees. 2016 also saw her success in a statewide election to be voted onto the Wisconsin State Bar’s Litigation Section Board. Kristen has served as a Board member for six years, as well as leading the Section as its Chairperson in 2021 and again in 2022. Her service extended beyond her years on the Board and she has remained active as a Past-Chair for several years.. Throughout her career, Kristen has been an extremely active member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice (formerly the Wisconsin Association of Trial Lawyers), where she has held positions on the Board of Directors and the Executive committee and served as a Regional Officer and Executive Officer. She has served as a Chairperson to every section within the organization, including the Education Program Committee, the New Lawyer’s Section, and the Women’s Caucus. Kristen currently serves as Co-Editor of The Verdict. She is also a contibuting member of the Wisconsin Defense Counsel, serving on their Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as their Women in the Law Committee.. Outside of the office, Kristen's passions include reading, birding, and community service. She was thrilled to join the Board of Directors for the Fox Valley Community Clothes Closet in 2022 and will serve as long as the organization will have her!
