Joshua Tolin is an experienced military trial attorney at Veritas Military Law, who also serves in the Air Force Reserve as a Major (O-4) and Individual Mobilization Augmentee. As an active-duty Air Force JAG for more than 10 years, Joshua spent his entire active-duty career in military justice: first prosecuting at the United States Air Force Academy, CO, as a junior prosecutor, then as an Area Defense Counsel at Ellsworth AFB, SD. Joshua was then selected to continue defending Airmen, but this time during a one-year remote assignment, helping Airmen deployed throughout the CENTCOM AOR and the Horn of Africa. From there, Joshua was hand-picked to serve as a senior prosecutor by the now-retired Chief District Military Judge of Districts 3 and 4. While serving as a senior prosecutor, he joined the elite status of Special Victims Unit-Circuit Trial Counsel and was certified by TJAG in the first cadre of Special Trial Counsel. Joshua then returned to the military defense community as a Senior Defense Counsel, where for his last 2.5 years on active duty, he has represented Airmen, Guardians, and a retired soldier facing (felony-level) general courts-martial and senior officers facing investigations and other adverse actions. While no defense counsel can guarantee certain results, in his role as Senior Defense Counsel in the Air Force, Joshua personally succeeded in securing no conviction for 95% of the crimes charged against his clients (including litigated not guilty verdicts, dismissals, and client-requested adverse action in lieu of court-martial).
